A Year of Blogging

I forgot my own blogging anniversary.  December 12 marked one year since my first post.  I was planning on celebrating in a big, big way by giving back to the scores and scores of devoted readers.  There were going to be prizes like a designer Kitchen Aid mixer and a trip to my ranch for a weekend of baking and .... oh....wait.   That's Pioneer Woman.

I confuse myself with her a lot. I have to keep reminding myself that I don't live on a cattle ranch.    I don't even know where the closest one is.  I don't have long, red hair.  I have no rugged rancher husband whom I call Marlboro Man.  I haven't published a best-selling cookbook. I have never appeared on the Food Network or any talk show.

Now, as I was saying...

I forgot my blogging anniversary.  I looked at my stats and I've written 58 posts.  With an average of more than one post per week I'm light-years further along than I ever imagined.  The whole process has turned out to be really fun and cathartic.  Sometimes I'm serious.  Sometimes I reveal my whole soul.  But I'm just as likely to share a wacky YouTube video like this Dana Carvey bit.  I was thinking of it the other day as I was cutting up veggies for a salad and singing "Choppin' Broccoli".

Thanks for reading...all 15 of you.
